Scribendi.com is an editing services company. As seen on their main site, they do not offer writing solutions, only editing services. Their main site offers very little valuable information, only an enumeration of the services offered and a few testimonials which might be fake.
Services
The services list includes the following: academic essay editing, academic proofreading, proposal editing, English academic critique work, dissertation proofreading and editing, eBook editing, proofreading and formatting or ESL academic editing. They do not offer any other types of services, and their list seems quite useless. Students who need editing services at Scribendi, usually also need help with writing of their Thesis or admissions essay, or even Dissertation.
Quality level, Plagiarism
We sent them one Dissertation chapter for editing. We received the paper in worst condition than we sent it. They clearly couldn’t spot all the mistakes, and they changed the layout of the chapter into a poorly edited paper.
Delivery
They promise to deliver all work by the required deadline. However, they missed our deadline and sent the edited paper to our inbox 10 days later than the required deadline. If you need editing services on a short term basis, we do not recommend using their services.
Pricing, Payments
They do not display any prices charged on the website. You cannot check how much one page of editing costs, only after you place your order. Then, there is no clear indication of the payment methods they accept.
Security, Trust and Reliability
We do not consider this is a reliable service, because it is impossible to reach them over instant chat or over the phone. Customer service is the heart of any business, and they clearly do not offer any reliable communication sources. Even several genuine reviews show that this is not a responsible and secure editing service.
Usability
The website is not well categorized. The services are simply enumerated and there is no valuable information available. If you are searching for a service or for the prices section, you won’t find anything too easily. This is not a user friendly website that offers value to the customer.
Additional Features
Besides the simple enumeration of the editing and proofreading services offered, there is no additional feature offered. They don’t offer free title page editing or free bibliography proofreading to attract more clients.
Discounts
Regardless of where you look on the website, you will not find any discounts posted. We wanted to see at least a scale based discount of 10% for larger orders. Great editing services offer even up to 15% or more discount if you place your order for editing a Dissertation of 100+ pages.
Overall Experience
We do not recommend the use of this editing service. They don’t respect the deadlines, and you won’t be able to communicate directly with an editor to inform him about any extra requirements. This company also does not offer an SSL secured platform to make your payments.
